JST’s XSR Connector is, at 0.60mm pitch, one of the smallest IDC Connectors in the world. Originally developed for small electronic equipment, this connector is ideal for sensor and control applications in Medical, Monitor, Wearable and Audio devices etc.
With a PCB mounting height of 1.45mm, depth of 3.00mm and JST’s proven U-slot structure design, this IDC connector is not only small, but very robust. Making this ideal for compact application environments, where strength and durability are paramount.
The XSR Connector is available in 2, 4, 6, 10, 16, 20 and 22 circuit variations, with a current rating of 0.2Amps and operating temperature range of -25OC to +85OC.

Space Saving Design
- Compared to the 0.80mm pitch SUR connector, the surface usage on the PCB has been reduced by 60% and the volume by 50%, which contributes greatly to the miniaturisation of the end application.
Twin U-slot Insolation Displacement (ID) design
- The ID interface section of the connector consists of JST’s proven twin U-slot structure, which guarantees high reliability in the contact area.
Strain relief structure
- Despite being a narrow pitch one piece socket connector, JST’s design approach to strain relief provides reliable wire strength and retention.
Fine wire suitability
- The adoption of AWG#36 (0.28mm O.D) wire, facilitates toughness and flexibility, and thus freedom in wiring and space saving capability.
Automatic ID machines
- To provide fast and stable harness production, JST has developed a fully automatic ID machine (Model; BCD-M5S) alongside this XSR connector.
